I have been spending some time at home recently and we have been getting a lot of birds on our feeders and on the ground around the feeders. We have a feeder set up outside a window off the kitchen, and I can capture photos with an old Nikon D50 camera body with a off-brand 70-300mm lens. The feeder is only about 10 feet from the windows in the room, so we can capture pretty good up close photos of the birds (and other creatures) that show up. We have to take the feeder in a night ever since MB discovered a raccoon climbing on our deck and onto the feeder during the night hours!
Watching the birds have become a nice way to begin the morning, along with the newspaper and a cup of coffee. Now, as for the squirrels ... not so nice, but fun to watch.
